Stocktake

Post by Aughnanure » Mon Apr 18, 2011 6:17 pm

Just did a 'stocktake' of the things that I'm wearing that a grateful Government has given me to hold me together :D

Starting at the bottom,

Special shoes for the crook feet.

Support stockings for the tendency to clot in the legs.

Dentures (upper, still got enough of the repaired originals on the bottom).

Glasses, and a lens in the right eye.

Hearing aids.

Plus a couple of stays in hospital and a couple of ops for clots in the legs and one for the 'water works'.

Looks terrible but I'm still shootin'.

Good job that I signed on the dotted line all those years ago; and many thanks to the Veterans' Affairs Dept.

I forgot the back support belts, don't have to wear one all the time but if I'm going to do any lifting or a longish drive in the car I put one on.

One other thing, all doctors visits are covered as is my monthly session with the podiatrist.
