Isn't solar power producing electricity when it charges batteries that are electric? If so ....how about from Japan to Hawaii in five days with no fuel but batteries powered by the sun?

I think that almost 118 hours in the air is more impressive than less than 1 hour. But they are two
totally different ways to fly an electric airplane and the E-Fan looks like it would be a lot more fun,
it looks like it's more like flying and less like riding a bus......

I think both are impressive in their own right- maybe taking the best of both would be the way to go...............
