GOOD LUCK........................

Right answers from;
deadin.
blackisler
Millder Tyme

Well, here is the answer.................
Very scarce Polish wz. 38M Maroszek semi-automatic military rifle! Today, this is probably the most difficult to find military rifle on the collector market. There are only seven known examples of wz.38 M rifles in collections around the world (1. Polish Army Museum, Warsaw, Poland, deactivated; 2. Central Armed Forces Museum, Moscow, Russia; 3. National Firearms Museum, Fairfax, Virginia, USA; 4, 5. private collections in the USA; 6. private collection in Germany; 7. this one, Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA)

QUESTION FOR 25th - 1st AUGUST

This week I need to know;

COUNTRY, MODEL, CALIBRES & WHAT WAS IT'S BIGGER BROTHER CALLED?
MAH25JUN15.jpg
Good luck :cool: :cool:

QUESTION IS NOW CLOSED

No problems with this weeks question, the normal 4 get it................

The Frommer Baby is a smaller size type of the Frommer Stop Model 1912 and was produced during the same period as the bigger Model.
In spite if the small calibre the Pistol got a sophisticated locked system with long recoil , a design which probably was based on the intensive connections between Rudolf Frommer and Karel Krnka , who at this time strongly dicted against the use of mass-systems for selfcocking-pistols. In this way this pistol is the only type of this kind of system produced in larger amount.
While the bigger model "Stop" was carried at the Hungarian part of the k.u.k. Army (HONVED), the smaller model "Baby" was dedicated for public use. Many of these pistols were carried after the fall of the k.u.k. monarchy until the 1920ies by officers of army and police.
Normally these pistols were made in calibre .32 ACP, but after WW1 a small amount in calibre .38 ACP was produced too.

Technical Datas:

SYSTEM: self-cocking pistol with locked system and long recoil , external hammer
CARTRIDGES : 5
CALIBRE : .32 ACP
BARREL LENGTH : 54 mm, 4 fields turning right
WEIGHT EMPTY : 430 g
TOTAL LENGTH : 122.5 mm
TOTAL HEIGHT : 93.5 mm
TOTAL WIDTH : 25 mm
TRIGGER : Single Action
SIGHT : fix
SAFETY : gripsafety
FINISH : browned
GRIPS : hard rubber

Good work all...................

There are 13 weeks to go till the end of the contest.........................

To make things a little harder and to try and produce one overall winner there will be a rule change as from August 8th :shock:

From that weeks question until the end of the contest, you will only be allowed ONE answer :roll:

It must give all the information asked for so any discrepancies or omissions will cost you the point :lol: :lol: :lol:

Any complaints / suggestions on a $50 / €100 / £50 note to me :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

P.S. Your prize this year is going to be a very good bottle of Blaye, Cotes de Bordeaux selected by me from a local vineyard of note.
