Help with history

Post by Aughnanure » Mon Dec 29, 2014 8:58 am

A good friend has asked me for some help in identifying the medals and period of this photo of his great grand-father (he of the medals).
He is surrounded by his family.
It's hard to see what they are and two of them are covered with campaign/battle clasps.
It is thought that he served in India and in the Crimea.

All knowledge and guesses appreciated!

Can't make anything out in Photoshop Eoin, the original scan is far too pixilated, sorry........
