Christmas Greetings from Down Under

Post by Aughnanure » Tue Dec 20, 2016 11:24 pm

A very happy Christmas to all and good collecting and shooting in the New Year.

My present to myself is a .22 Ruger Single Six, in stainless and with a Magnum cylinder.
Paid a few hundred under new price, the standard cylinder has fired a few shots but the Magnum has never been used.
Pick it up mid January as it's at a gun shop about a hundred miles away.

Merry Christmas, Eoin. Now that's a present that Santa must not have permission to deliver but if you are willing to go a hundred miles and wait a few weeks for it then it must be at the top of your Christmas list for sure. Hope you enjoy it for a long time to come.

Thanks Duncan and the very best of sames to you and family.

There are a couple of reasons for the longish trip; my wife goes for medical consultation to the next town to the one where I spotted the Ruger on our last trip.
It was a bargain, being virtually brand new, so I popped a deposit on it.
The paperwork (permission to purchase) has come through and I could have it posted but that would be A$25 plus another $25 for the transfer through an authorized person, picking it up in person saves all this.

We are going through the purchase town to visit friends so the $50 saved will pay for the petrol.

Will post pics as soon as it's in my hot little hands :D

Merry Christmas and have a great 2017.
I'm waiting on my ticket to come back so I can pick up a very special .22 rifle. I will post pics when I get my hands on it. ;)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all. 2017 should be an interesting year with all the changes taking place in the USA and Europe with brexit. I hope it turns out OK for everyone.
Regards
Peter.
