Milsurp Mike's shoot

Post by Niner » Sat Oct 31, 2009 4:10 pm

Milsurp Mike at Gunboards suggested a shoot in my area of the country a while back. Since I visit that site once in a while I raised my hand. Today we got up early to get to the range by around 7:30 to beat the once a year hunter gun sight in crowd. He and JAYFMT and I had a good time in the misting off and on again rain. In an hour or so after we arrived the range started to fill up and all slots seemed to be filled on the rifle side and nearly all on the pistol side pretty quickly.

This range is out in the country with the nearest significantly populated area 25 or so miles away. It's called Styx River shooting range after a small stream near there. It does a good business for a modest setup.

The pistol range is popular even during hunting season. Some rifles scope sighted on this range too.

It was fun. We'll have to do it again.

Glad to see that you found your way here to the site, Mike.
