Would like to hear comments
on the letter from ATF to importers
of kits. How much will it cause
FAL's, AK's and G3 types (CETME?)
to increase in price ? Is the
wording vague? enough to affect
C&R replacement parts. Could a
M96 and M38 barrel replacement
for a Swede be included in this
ban "down" the road?

Haven't seen the letter....so obviously I can't offer an opinion. Was this a general mailing to all license holders or just importers?

I see your point. It also is clear regarding 'military surplus'! It seems geared towards forbidding kits that traditionally belong to submachine gun types but the language is loose enough that a screwball Attorney General would have lots of flexibility.
