No.. they aren't stock piling weapons for one of those religious based terrorist things. At least I don't think so. These are Christian churches. The idea is that a church group in a small town is buying back guns for $50 each to take them out of the hands of people in their community who might shoot somebody with them.

There are other churches we've read of in recent months who have raffled off guns based on attendance. And there are a few churches that openly invite the congregation to come to church packing a gun.
Back when I was a kid, and required to go to church, churches didn't have an opinion about guns at all, much less take money out of the collection plate to buy guns. And at the same time they didn't give away guns for church attendance nor were they welcoming to those packing heat for the Sunday service.
