The best mass market beer in America?

Post by Niner » Thu Oct 28, 2010 6:26 pm

I think Samuel Adams has to be the best American beer produced in quantity. The Octoberfest beer is up to their high quality standards.

I particularly like their draft beer and order it by brand when I go out to eat .........if the restaurant my wife or daughter picks out has it on the menu.

Yes, for a mass produced beer Sam Adams is probably the best and can compare very favorably to some of the micro-brews in the various cities and states in the US. I am somewhat bias as Virginia has a long ale brewing history and we have some of the best I think in the nation. The best micro-brewery I have ever been to is Mad Fox Tavern and Brewery in Falls Church, Virginia. They age many of their beers in used Whiskey barrels for a very flavorful beer, everything from Stout to a lighter Pilsner is on the menu. I prefer their Scottish Ale and their aged Porter the most.
