Top 15 Oddest Real Beer Names
Why a brewery would use some of these names is beyond me.
The only two I have had are Arrogant Bastard and Moose Drool.
Arrogant Bastard (7.2%) is very good and they make a stronger (better) version called Double Bastard (11.2%).
Moose Drool is from Montana and is a fairly good dark ale, but only 5.2%.
Vern.
1. Arrogant Bastard
2. Flying Dog In Heat Wheat
3. Moose Drool
4. Santa’s Butt Porter
5. Fiddler's Elbow
6. Old Speckled Hen
7. Dogfish Head Snowblower Ale
8. Sick Duck
9. Homo Erectus
10. Seriously Bad Elf
11. Shaftebury 420 Brilliant Lager
12. Bad Frog
13. Hell for Certain
14. Flying Dog Horn Dog Barley Wine
15. Big Butt

In India there is 'CANNON--The Big Gun of Beers', first time I tried it it was with some misgiving, 'twas my first Indian drop, but itwas very very good.
When I'm in India I always try to get it but a lot depends on just where one is.

We have a local brewery producing "Wicked Elf" which is pretty good, so I wonder what Seriously Bad Elf is like.
Had a chance to try a Raspberry, honey, wheat beer whilst on holidays - not bad but I don't think you could drink a lot of it.
Also tried an Indian beer, Kingfisher, have you tried it Eoin ?

Re: Top 15 Oddest Real Beer Names
Graeme,
Yes and my opinion of the beer is that despite the following awards:
World's best Lite Lager Award at the Stockholm Beer Festival in 1994.
World's best Lite Lager Award at the Stockholm Beer Festival in 1995.
Gold medal at the World Beer Championship held in Chicago in 1997.
First prize for the label work category at the Asian GrandPrix Cyrel 2000 Label award.
Bronze award at the 'Australian International Beer Awards' in the "International Packaged Beer Section for the year 2000
I am forced to the conclusion that my taste buds are on a more exaulted plane than those of the judges, frankly I won't drink the stuff.
This is the good brew,
Your court, Sir!

I thought it went well with the meal but no strong opinions either way.
