Guinness Black Lager

Post by Niner » Tue Sep 04, 2012 5:01 pm

Looks dark as night. But tastes really mellow and mild. No strong flavor at all. Reminds me of Mexican lager...only black instead of golden. Maybe it's Black Irish. :)

Says on the bottle that it is cold brewed with roasted barley.

Not bad. Also says on the back..."Enjoy ice cold straight from the bottle." I thought ice cold beer was only an American affectation.

Was at the store the other day and saw this variety 12-pack of Mexican beer for $13.99, couldn't resist...
Probably the most popular Mexican beer is Corona, but it's a little more expensive. My favorite is the Dos Equis Amber.
Beer seems to be the only thing I like that comes from Mexico...

The thought just came to me while reading a hundred year old advertisement. Does modern beer cause bilousness?
