Re: MAS 36 for me
Privi listed at £50 per 100 at the moment Peter, I'll make further enquiries, thanks for the tip.
As regards the Mas comp today I reckon my pal had the edge on me though she kindly suggested we came out even stevens. Regardless, it's been another grand day out even though the wind was blowing a hooley and pretty cool.
A couple of comparison pics of our rifles, mine being the unadulterated version and V-V's being the sporterised jobbie. Oddly enough the sporterised rifle came with with the cut off front end and bayonet, I'll ask V-V to take some foties of her rifle with the chopped off bits when she has time.

That blond stock kind of jumps out at me. Not the usual darker reddish brown like yours....and mine.

Re: MAS 36 for me
Joe,
I was talking to a pal of mine here and he told me that the '36 was well known for it's poor accuracy. The problem stems from the wood of the forend touching the barrel.
A bit of tuning needed perhaps?

The rifle shoots fine Duncan, but I will check it out anyway.
