Some more pics of a certain subject...
When I was strolling at the firing line on century, I took this pic of the shooters. Now, there is a vaguely familiar sihouette between all those competitors...

Of course, I then went closer to doublecheck:

Well, the gent surely was shooting one of those snub-nosed rifles indeed, and the bonnet...

Just to make sure, the other side...

And here he is, looking at his rifle, wondering where the #!?/ that darned thing was shooting - or was he doing something else??

There's a downside to those green ranges...
...and that is called rain! I still remember the 2004 Trafalgar, where I shot my 900 yds at Stickledown in a downpour, wind really blowing - had to put all of 13 mins of windage to be on target! This with BP, of course... But Bisley is a class all of its own, true.
Thanks for the compliments on the rifle, just for your enjoyment here a couple of pics of my Swinburn sporter:

Mind you, I'd rather lug around the #2 Musket than this one - this is a really heavy rifle indeed, presumably for someone who could afford a gunbearer...
