New Mobile Delta bridge

There is a new bridge section on the Mobile River about 20 miles North of Mobile. It used to have a swing bridge in the middle of the structure that would open for barge traffic. Now it rises to let large vessels pass. Somebody has to man the bridge controls all the time.

While I was there ...fishing.... some railroad inspection trucks came through.... regular trucks with train track wheels fitted to then. One of the guys in the smaller pickup waved. If you look hard you may see him wave.
