Mt. Shasta

I started this forum for any collecting hobby and it turned into my camera collecting and using forum. I use it mostly to keep a record of my photo adventures. Nobody but me seems to have photo adventures that visit here....but however. I have so many cameras now that I forget which is which and which ones work and which ones don't. If you have cameras and adventures you would be welcome to post here.

Mt. Shasta

Post by Niner Delta » Thu Nov 14, 2013 1:03 am

On the way down here I was stopped at a rest area in northern California and took
this of Mount Shasta (14,179 feet). The almost blurry looking clouds at the top is what caught my eye.
And yes, that is a CA Highway Patrol pick-up driving by.

The chain link fence with the barbed wire on the top? Could that be from the mind of the CIA and NSA? Mohammed foiled again I guess. He isn't getting to that mountain.

It's more of a "maxi" Mt Fuji, Shasta is 2000 feet taller than Fuji.

The freeway was between me and the mountain.
As for the fence, almost all freeways in the west have some type of fence on both sides
to keep animals off the road, hitting a deer or cow at 70+ can really ruin your day, your car,
your life, etc.......
