The latest film camera EOS 10S

I started this forum for any collecting hobby and it turned into my camera collecting and using forum. I use it mostly to keep a record of my photo adventures. Nobody but me seems to have photo adventures that visit here....but however. I have so many cameras now that I forget which is which and which ones work and which ones don't. If you have cameras and adventures you would be welcome to post here.

The latest film camera EOS 10S

Post by Niner » Tue Jun 14, 2016 10:59 am

Actually I got two cameras that are the same model in a bundle deal. Averages to $13.58 each including the shipping cost. Both came without the lens but both work fine and I already have some lens. The camera model is the Canon EOS 10S. It was called the EOS 10, no S, outside of the US. It was introduced in 1990 and quickly won some awards including European Camera of the Year. It has a multitude of programs, multi point auto focus and various controls for the serious photographer. One of the odd ones is a bar code setting where you can put in some codes for different things... but I have no idea how that works.

I put on a Canon EF 75-300 lens and stopped at the park on the way to the grocery. Developed the film afterward. Kentmere 100 speed.

I put some new Fuji color 200 film through this camera yesterday. Last few shots on the roll I took this morning before developing the roll from my carport where I set up my developing stuff. It poured down rain as you can see in the top photo but managed to develop the film ok and stay dry. Camera is still working. I has a remote control to it but didn't try using it. Film negatives had a very slight yellow-green tint. In some of the attached photos I did a little Irphanview manipulation.
