Take a photo and post it.

I started this forum for any collecting hobby and it turned into my camera collecting and using forum. I use it mostly to keep a record of my photo adventures. Nobody but me seems to have photo adventures that visit here....but however. I have so many cameras now that I forget which is which and which ones work and which ones don't. If you have cameras and adventures you would be welcome to post here.

I'm with Vern here.
Could be something like a waste dump that's covered with earth.
The pipes are used to get the gas and/or vapors out.

Met vriendelijke groet,

I go fishing all the time out of Dog River and into Mobile Bay. There is this open air restaurant on the bank of the river which I had never eaten at in all the years I'd floated past it. So today it was my pick on the family weekly ritual of going out for lunch. My wife and son, daughter, and myself, tried it out. Pretty good gulf coast seafood menu as it turned out. Nothing to rave about ...but it had ... atmosphere.

One snap shows me and my son the actual webmaster taken about two hours ago. One is from my boat at about quarter to 7 on Thursday morning.

Gotta love travelling and patchy Internet access. The photo is the roof of the hotel we stayed at in Coober Pedy. Each room has a ventilation pipe, mainly for fresh air. When I get the Internet access a bit more sorted I'll post a photo of the front of the hotel.
And I did think it might have been a communal 'dunny' :(

One of, if not the best, post-and-rail fences in Australia is at PLC* Armidale, NSW.

I'm guessing that it commemorates the original fence around the college as it ends just to the right of the photo, and the rest of the fencing is more modern.
