Mauser Prod 44

Post by spearedum » Thu Aug 13, 2015 6:33 pm

I own a matching Mauser Prod 44 Yugo(?), and it is a captured and scrubbed K98 with war damage. It's in better shape that a Russian Captured K98 in good to VG condition, but my friend wants to buy it- I've been out of the C&R collection business so I don't know a reasonable price. Can you help?

Thanx in advance for the advice.

Hey Dante. Long time no see. Good to see you posting. I don't know the answer to what you are asking but will look and see what I can learn. No doubt someone else seeing your question will have an opinion.

Here's one that has two days to go to collect bids and is at $285. It has the Yugo crest stamped into the receiver... doesn't make it any more valuable than if no Crest like the couple I have. It has a laminated stock... the solid ones are earlier and may be more desirable.

THANX, I've been thinking about selling my collection after Dennis asked about buying my Pred44, 98k Mauser. I'll let you guys know about my C&R collection.

I've thought about selling some of mine off too. I went so far as to buy a few shipping boxes and then....that's as far as it's gotten. But... I haven't bought anything in a couple of years. I guess that's good.

I've received a VA rating in 2007 for PTSD, so I'm concerned about my C&R being confiscated by Big Brother now. I have the Pred44, two Chez. Mausers and a Swede, four antique Argi carbines, four M91/30 and three Antique M-39s, and a Chinese 1888 GEW Commission. I was using the C&Rs as a saving account for my kin.
I'm unsure of keeping my 03FFL- don't rock the boat.
I'll sell the 98k Pred44 to a friend. The matching bolt and receiver increases the value of the C&Rs, but Dennis isn't a collector YET...
