TOZ-7 Soviet Rifle.

Probably the most popular caliber firearm in most of the world. Many of us have more than one. They also are very collectible and still cheap to shoot.

Rifle came in today.

This in description from saller:

TOZ-7.

Cal. 22LR.

Single Shot Bolt-action rifle.

Made in USSR, Tula Weapons Plant, 1932.

Ser number: 391XX.

DESCRIPTION: Scarce, pre-war early Soviet single shot military trainer. Makers' name present on the barrel: "T.O.3" (TOZ in Russian alphabet, "Tula Arms Factory"), and a date, "1932" (fading). Solid, rather heavy halfstock with pistol grip. Adjustable rear sights. Heavy barrel. Steel buttplate. No import markings.Pre-war Soviet trainers did not survive the war in large numbers. CONDITION: Fine with 92% of original, crisp blue remaining on metal. Light patina on the trigger guard and buttplate. Bore is in excellent+ condition with strong rifling. All the internal parts of the rifle are in excellent condition, with no visible wear. The stock has varnish finish with few handling marks. The stock may have been revarnished long time ago. No cracks to the stock of any kind. There are two extra sling swivel holes in the lower part of the stock, with both sling swivels missing.

Can't say as I have ever seen one. Rather unusual stock contour.
