SOG has a shipment of Beretta Olympia rifles.

Probably the most popular caliber firearm in most of the world. Many of us have more than one. They also are very collectible and still cheap to shoot.

SOG has a shipment of Beretta Olympia rifles.

Got the email...and they are C&R. The only problem is they seem pretty so what for a Curio and Relic Beretta that costs $395. Doesn't look like anything special about the sights.

Found this site that tells about it.

The oddest thing to me is that it looks like a more or less normal bolt action rifle but it is also semiautomatic.

In ads like this, I always wonder who decides the "Suggested Retail" price that they can mark down
and give you such a great deal on the rifle. And I think we can all guess who that is.........

I'm sure that black Beretta is a fine rifle, but it is ugly as hell....
And all those rails just make it look worse, I do like black rifles, but that's not for me.
Have a few .22s that just gather dust, shooting them isn't very exciting anymore.......
But that's just me....YMMV..... :D

From what I'm reading...the .22 favorite black rifle is made by Smith & Wesson.
http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/smith-- ... atic-rifle

At Academy Sports $399 in my town so it probably sells for about that everywhere else. But ... a little more expensive than the Beretta verson.

The only thing about these rifles is... when they fire the .22 round they go plink, plink plink and not bang, bang , bang. An "assault" .22 seems ridiculous in some ways.

Probably OK if you are going to "assault" gophers, otherwise........ mehhhhh.
Agree that .22 is plink, and I prefer bang.......
