French MAS Model 45 extractor

Probably the most popular caliber firearm in most of the world. Many of us have more than one. They also are very collectible and still cheap to shoot.

I will ask around Bob and see what I can find but it might take a while because people are still on holiday here and the next range day for this kind of rifle is in mid-September. There is also an arms fair in Bordeaux in October that might produce something.

Not found anything yet but the arms fair in October in Bordeaux is a strong possibility.

I could do with a picture of exactly what you are looking for and confirmation that we are talking about the MAS 45 .22 Trainer

OK Bob, just confirm that it is the .22 Training Rifle as per the pic and I will see what I can come up with, OK?

Arms & Militaria fair yesterday.
I tried about 10 stands yesterday Bob but was unable to find anyone who had or could suggest a possible source for your extractor. There is another, larger fair on 22 November in Bordeaux and I will try again there but I get the feeling that I will have the same result.
I will also contact a guy in the north where I bought my K98k and see if he can help as he advertised spares for most military rifles including the MAS.

Well, bad news I am afraid Bob.
I have been in touch with a guy in the north who specialises in parts for military weapons and he can't help either. Nor can he suggest anyone in France who might be able to. I am very sorry. I will try again on the 22nd at the big fair in Bordeaux but I don't hold out much hope.

If you still have an original one why not try and have it copied? Someone like riceone might be able to help you out. Look in the Asian Firearms section here.
