Here is a new forum opened to see if there is any interest in showing and discussing 22 caliber firearms.
I'll add a snapshot of my 22 battery. Some are older than me. Some are just a couple or more decades old. One is more valuable than any other gun I own.....to me anyway. And one is just a Saturday Night Special bought just for the hell of it at a gun show, real cheap, a couple of years ago.

Wow! Now that's a real collection. Really outstanding.
I noticed the Remington 572 pump and the 522 Speedmaster have a lot of things in common as to the grip wood color and general shape and the receiver covering....whatever you call it looks like it may have been stamped with the same machine. You must have noticed my 522...I got mine new on Christmas about 1972. Also the Ted Williams...from Sears...is a lot like the my JC Higgins Mod 29, which Sears sold also, they must have been close kin.
That Japanese rifle is really different. The cocking end of the bolt looks a lot like a knockoff of an Arisaka doesn't it?

Your JC Higgins Mod. 29 is the same rifle as my Ted Williams Mod. 34
Sears Had rifles and shotguns made under both names. The JC Higgins hane was first use and in 1961 Seares changed their sporting goods brand name to Ted Williams.
Both rifles were made by High Standard.
The only reason I bought the Japanese single shot rifle is because it looked like an Arisaka sporter. I had to give $85 for it.

My father taught me to shoot with a BSA Superspot Five when I was 7 years old. After a few years he sold it and bought a Brno Mod 2E. I still have it, my dad bought it when I was 12 yrs old. Hell that rifle has killed some rabbits and foxes over the years. I will take a few pics of it and post them.

Glad to see this section!
I have about fifteen rimfire rifles & handguns.
I just mounted some period optics on many of them & I will soon get to enjoy a new experience when using the new-to-me scopes on familiar rifles that I have shot previously using only the iron sights.
I purchased a lot of Weaver scopes from the thirties, forties & fifties, mostly 3/4 inch models.
I will soon post some pictures & a range report as temperatures & humidity are finally beginning to decline.
