Winchester Model 52

I had been looking at Winchester model 52 rifles at gun shows & online for a couple of years now, just hoping to snag one great rifle for a great price, yet the owners/sellers of the rifles always wanted a fat wad of cash in order to part with their rifle.
Most of what I veiwed did not come as a package; just the rifle, sometimes a period scope such as a Fecker or Unertl that could be purchased seperately.
Then candyman told me of a 52 for sale for a fair price that came as a kit with a history.
This 52 was used by a ranked shooter in the 1960's & beyond.
His name was Ernie Gregg of Durango, Colorado. The rifle was sold from his estate to a Mr. Malone of Arizona just a few years ago, then traded to a Mr. Smith, also of Arizona, who then relocated to Louisiana with the rifle, & continued to use it in competition.
He then sold this rifle to me, as he desired to pursue high scores in a centerfire class of shooting.
I drove 740 miles to acquire this rifle.

Included was a Fecker 16X scope from the late 40's. It was one of the last scopes made by Fecker.
A fellow named Unertl went to work for Fecker in the 1920's & Feckers' scopes started to look just like this one. Member candyman surmised it must have been Unertl's design, as when Unertl left Fecker in the 30's, the Unertl scope looked identical to the Fecker.
