Yep, thems the marks. Do they mean the rifle has been shot at the factory and that it is accurate? Like I said none of my others have it that I can see...even my M44 that'll give a fly a brush cut doesnt have them.

Is there a chance this one went through a couple of refurbs? There are so many marks on this Tula. Also the rear sight has the space that indicates ex dragoon. That makes both my hex's ex's....LoL

I like the 57 in the circle on the stock. Two digit numbers that are period correct as date years always intrigue me.

thanks Miller

Hi Nick you are certainly building up a nice collection there. Collecting milsurps is intriguing as you are finding out. I spent today on the range shooting mine a cracking day. The sun shone good friends lots of banter fantastic then home cleaned them all up put them away for another day then curled up in front of the TV with a pizza and a few beers.

Your next step is reloading ammo for them. That's another fascinating hobby.

Hey Dave!

I love a day at the range. A friend of mine asked if we could go to the range here at 2pm. I went at noon to get some extra time in. He can only stand a few hours and then hes had it. I usually go home when Im out of ammo. Just like the casino. I dont bring all my money to the casino in one day, I dont bring all my ammo to the range in one day. Either way I go home with empty pockets.

Nice to hear from you Dave. I see some new maps on the SOS and the <XI> servers. Glad to see some of you are still at it. There are also more servers running now than there were a year ago. Maybe the is an upsurge beginning....if that happens you know I wont be able to contain myself and I'll dust off Radiant again...

Excuse me people but I'm going to hijack this thread for a little while.

For those of you that are wondering what the Hell we are talking about Radiant is a 3d mapping programme that is used to build maps for the Call of Duty online war gaming series. Nick known as (bloodletter) in the mapping world is a very talented mapper. His maps are still running on lots of servers all over the World. Nick closed Radiant down a little while ago because I guess he burnt him self out. He shifted his focus and took up collecting Mosins not a bad thing.
But Yes you are right Nick lots of new maps SOS is still running my map Urban village or what ever it is called. Nick worked on this map with me he put all the clever whizzy stuff on it.

We have got new mappers in 3d Nick. Keith (CSMixx) has joined us and is now a Admin. We have two other Guys from the States and a Guy from the UK. The group (Bram, Mixx, John, Joe and my self) have just finished a joint venture that is about to be released. We opened a drop box and every body built stuff for it and just shoved it in the drop box. I wonder were that idea came from. :D Actually I suggested it but they wont admit to that.

You need to pay the forum a visit Nick its busy at last.

YOU NEED TO FIRE UP RADIANT NICK.

Don't waste that gift. Iv started a new map its just a sketch on paper at the minute. I got this goofy idea I would like to build a house brick by brick just like a Bricklayer does. Do you think it will work. I thought a map of a building site with houses and stuff in various states of completion. Trenches with pipes in . Diggers. Mounds of bricks, mud etc etc etc. I'm getting carried away now I better stop.

Seriously it would be really cool if you were mapping again and Iv got lots and lots of questions. Oh and then there is Blender but that's another story.

Sorry Folks I got a bit carried away when he mentioned he might fire up radiant as you probably gathered I'm a big fan of Nicks work.
Back to Mosins Ill go lay down for a while and Ill be fine.  Sorry about that.

...still hijacked folks..sorry. Dave I appreciate the accolades. As a fellow mapper you know the patience and dedication it takes to get a map running on someone elses servers. Thats why I apprecite the kind words. Only mappers know that kind of frustration. I cant say that I havent thought about Radiant. Better though that I dont come visit the site. Those <XI> guys run a few of my maps in their rotation. If I come back it will be them or SOS. We'll see. Im not in any hurry.

And now back to your previously schedule thread.
