Not really... just ask Miller Tyme.

You really need a long rifle original Mosin Nagant version M91. An American British contract one as well as various Russian factory ones can't be neglected. While you are at it you should have a few Finn modified rifles... particularly a M39....etc. etc. Then there are the cold war construct carbines like the 91/38 and the 91/59. There is no end to them.

And lets not forget the infamous 1950's single shot trainer.

You guys are on point! I have been bidding feverishly on rifles for weeks now. I want a Remington, at least one Finn, M38, M39, 91/59 and of course I will have to have a sniper sooner or later. The prices have doubled in the last year and half or so from what I can make out reading the forums. I guess I got in too late. Oh well. Im not doing it to make money. Lets face it. Its an addiction.

I have been getting better at spotting the phony sniper scopes and have seen a couple on the popular sites. The owners act like they are not knowledgeable enough to know if they are repro's or not but Im not buying it. If a newbie like me can Google and find the info then they can too....pfff

I see that type of thing a lot on ebay and to a lesser extent on craigslist.
Items for sale "as is" because we have "no way to test it" or just "untested"......
Many times these things are electronics, so obviously they plugged them in and they didn't
work, so...............pay your money and take your chances. After getting burned once, I no longer buy
anything that isn't guaranteed to work. And I never pay for shipping, that way I get a FULL refund.

Peace is that brief, quiet moment in history.......... when everybody stands around reloading.

"No way to test and as is, and I don't know how it works " is in every old camera sales warning on ebay.....and there is, at best a 50/50 chance the camera has something seriously wrong with it. . At least old Mosin Nagant rifles are so nearly indestructible that it's hard to find one that doesn't function.....not impossible....just hard.

Just added a 1930 Tula Hex to the family today. The space under the rear sight is there like my other ex-dragoon. There are lots of refurb marks on the receiver which I'll post when I get a chance.

These Mosins seems to be harder to get through the gun shops and the prices are going up. I may have to wait til the Ukraine stabilizes and the prices come down so I can get some more....

I posted the markings because lets face it, we've all seen a 91/30...LoL

This one has more marks on the receiver than any of my other mosins. The double circles here are the only ones on any mosin in my collection.

The double circles are just an arsenal accuracy proof.
