42 Izhevsk 91/30 Instructie

Postby Miller Tyme » Wed Sep 16, 2015 5:57 pm

Scratch another of the list, picked myself up a very well worn Istructie 91/30. It is your typical well worn Romanian rifle but the bore, while dark, has surprisingly good rifling.

Now to find me a Dragoon to complete the set.

Were the Romanian "instructie" actually fired during their use as training rifles? The British Enfields with the similar red stripe around the butt were .. I think... for drill purposes only.

Yes they where Robert, the "instructie" rifles where for the civil population to use to hold off any invaders (read that as russians). There "non-firing" training rifles are stamped "EXERCITIU"
