91/30 "Special"

Post by Niner » Tue Aug 09, 2016 9:53 am

Got this email today. The "special" was a hex receiver 91/30 with bayonet for $279.95...and if you wanted "hand pick" it is $10 more and then there is the freight charge. Then I looked in my book. I got a hex receiver 91/30 with bayonet, and sling, and ammo pouches, oil can, and tools ....for $87.47 delivered back in February of 2006. That's a pretty good appreciation.... if people are interested in buying such a one.

Somehow I wonder if there are any "collectors" left and if they are actually buying anything. Certainly ... judging by the activity on this site there can't be many left.

That seems to be the going rate for hex receivers, if they even have them in stock.
I don't have a hex, but paid $79 for round 91/30 and M38 in 2004, retail at Big-5 in AZ.
Should have been buying SKSs and AKs...........

Funny thing is Russian refurb'ed 91/30's are getting almost as expensive as Finn captured or SCW Mosins.
