Some Finnish Mosins

Post by Calfed » Mon Sep 07, 2009 2:54 am

Last December I purchased some Mosin's at an on-line estate sale. It was to be my last purchase for a while, because I had made a New Year's resolution not to buy any milsurps in 2009 (that was a laugh!). At any rate, I got three that I had been looking for:

A Tikka 91/30 that appears to have seen little use and has some nice tiger striping:

A "B" barrel M39, in excellent shape:

A "Finned" New England Westinghouse M91 that came with an interesting Finnish arsenal tag, serial numbered to the gun

Welcome to After Hours, CalFed!
Your Finned NEW M91 is in its original birch stock.
NEW stocked their M91's in American black walnut with an oil finish or birch with reddish shellac.

Thanks, guys.

I recently shot my second highest score (29/40) at the military silhouette match with the B barrel M39 and some of that "JMS 02" headstamped 54R ammo that was sold last year by CDNN as "US Government contract overrun". It is a delight to shoot.
