Nice
Very nice KP31-
For those interested in the Finns and history see this link

as this is some work done recently for PBS - It was a lot of fun taking part in the effort. It is funny however as PBS decided to cut Gunboards.com from my bio - I guess to be PC? There are still some sections not done on the WFWI site but they should be up soon

Glad to see you here again
Thanks for posting the pictures and the links to the PBS series.
The PBS title had me confused with the Winter War movie for a minute. I almost got the idea that they were the same... but what else would they call the winter war, than the winter war?
If anybody else is confused, here is one link to the movie that someone is offering for sale.

Kp-44 Live Fire
This belongs to a MG dealer from Iowa. Got to shoot this last spring. At 14 cents for whatever I put in this. 71rds of 9mm in the drum was enough to get the feel for it. It also uses the 36rd stick mags. The drum is compatable with the Kp-31 Soumi. It cut a 55gal barrel in about two with one long burst. Not my gun Didn't get too hot!
The Bren was fun at the bottom right of the pic. I'll put some Finn cannons up soon from the same event.

Other odds and ends from last year in Finland
Thanks Niner - I had no idea the site had moved until today - Been really busy as of late.
Note - On the AVS36 - What a treat to fire one of these as they are just beyond rare. No wonder the Soviets disliked the rifle as they fire much too fast for most shooters. When you see someone fire 15 rounds in full auto it looks as if they only fired 3, that is until you see the mag is empty. VERY hard to control in full auto.

- Sorry as I have to blur the face as the shooter (for his own reasons ) does not wish to have his face shown. AVS36

Yes and what a super accurate rifle it is. Amazing to say the least.
It was a lot of fun to fire all of these but too be honest the LS26 was tops for me in the fun factor. I am not sure why these appeal to me so much but they do. The DT was the most accurate of the full autos (at least to me). Shooting the AVS36 and the DS39 were a treat just because they are just so rare that to even see one (much less shoot one) is a special event. The AVS36 is even more uncommon as the one in the photos above is a first version.
