What do you think you would pay for this?

Post by Niner » Fri Jul 30, 2010 8:38 pm

Got an email from one of the usual sources and they had these pistols for sale. Unfortunately, I've got some home repair and upgrade to do and a medical adventure to pay for in August so my cash for pissing away will be nonexistant for a while. I know the price....I just want to see what anyone thinks it is worth who cares to make a guess.

If you got one of the same offers please hold back until there is some WAG's.

Ok...you are both right. A$350 is about the same as $315 American and by the time you pay the credit card user fee that SOG charges and the handgun shipping fee you are really about there. Now that doesn't mean I think this is a good deal...just an offer that floated in with the incoming email tide.

Jeez now thats just not fair, dont see them round here that often. I was offered one a few years back but it was a lot more than $295.

Looks like a choice between 4" and 5" barrel for the same price. Wonder if one would be more desireable than the other?

Robert, i have seen quite a few Webley and Enfield revolvers over the years here, and the majority of them had the 5 inch barrel. My understanding is that the 5 inch barrel is the most common

Thanks for the information. Guess I'm going to have to pass this time anyway.

Just brought my Enfield N02 Mk1 out of the safe, it has a 5 inch barrel. Years ago the Police here used the Webley .38 S&W and they all had the 5 inch barrel. The few that I have seen with 4 inch barrels were civillian owned. In my experience (and i dont know that much) the 4 inch version would be harder to find. Go on Robert, buy one.
