ANZAC Day 2014

Post by Aughnanure » Mon Apr 28, 2014 8:06 pm

Another ANZAC Day has come and gone but this one was memorable for me as my two eldest sons were on a visit from Ireland.

I'm actually bigger than them, it's only a trick of the camera.

Under a suitably big tree in the park, with my wife, Annette; Richard is the small son and Eugene is the slightly bigger one.

The tree, as a matter of interest, is a North American Maple, think of the figure in those crotches !!!

Good for you Eoin, bet you enjoyed the day. What was your Regiment, I can't make it out from the badge?

Fine looking family, Eoin. I guess you are sporting that new medal, belatedly awarded, that you mentioned a few posts back in that collection. Good you have a chance to show it....and the rest off.

Thanks for the kind remarks, much appreciated.

Duncan,

The badge is that of the Royal Australian Regiment.
I was in the 3rd Battalion.

I hasten to add that I was not a member when it was winning its glory in Korea.
