Collection......

I started this forum for any collecting hobby and it turned into my camera collecting and using forum. I use it mostly to keep a record of my photo adventures. Nobody but me seems to have photo adventures that visit here....but however. I have so many cameras now that I forget which is which and which ones work and which ones don't. If you have cameras and adventures you would be welcome to post here.

I look forward to the photos and the story of the old school camera shoot. Anybody in that photo club of yours do any film photography?

There are a couple of people who still do film and about 4 who are interested to learn. We have access to a small darkroom in a village about 10 kms. from here if we book it in advance.

Maybe you can start a retro camera club.

I just "won" a $5 retro camera. It was what was called a bridge camera. It was a point and shoot camera made to look and somewhat function as a conventional SLR. It's a Olympus IS-1. Some say it tried to put the best features of both style of cameras into one package. Others say, it took the worst features of both styles and put them in one package. In any case they seemed to have taken some decent photos. The one I "won" was advertised as having worked the last time it was used...years ago. Maybe it will work and maybe it won't. It's a surprise coming from the grab bag.

I have a friend who has never taken to digital photography. He shoots colour slides only. I think it is Fuji film he uses mostly these days.

Peter.
