First 6 roundsd at 50 mtrs
Second 5 at 50 mtrs
First 6 at 100 mtrs..................I couldn't see the target clearly but it shoots well - the trigger is as smooth as a piece of silk

At 50 meters the series of shots are grouped low at first and then grouped high. What kind of a sight hold were you using on the front sight to produce those results?

Re: Schmidt Rubin, Model G11
Remember that this rifle's sights are set at 300 mtrs.
First rounds with the sights at the base of the target. Second with the sights at the base of the black.
The 100 mtr target was so blurred I couldn't see exactly where I was shooting

Ok that enlightens me on the subject. I guess it was all the center of moving body theory that put the sights at 300 yards and not the center of stationary target at any distance other than 300.

Nice shooting I say.
Those targets get tiny at 100. Sneaky!

Was each soldier issued one or was it one to a squad like 19th Century adjusting and cleaning tools? If every Swiss rifle was kept by the man issued it in civilian life are their a lot of them floating around in Swiss flea markets? Just a wild ass notion that crosses my mind.

Re: Schmidt Rubin, Model G11
I bought one of those kits for my HK91, excellent kit, brand new, both containers full of gray grease.
Way better than any other military cleaning kit I have ever bought, and I have several.
Although I only paid less than $18 total on Ebay........
