Bayonet ID ?

Things a soldier would carry other than firearms, ammo, or uniforms. Meaning equipment such as ammo pouches, bayonets, holsters, oil cans, cleaning equipment, etc.

Bayonet ID ?

Post by joseyclosey » Mon Jun 18, 2018 6:23 am

I was recently asked to identify and do write ups on a collection of bayonets, I managed to do so apart from this one which is labeled as a US M 15 bayonet. It looks unissued and doesn't have a single stamp or mark to help me.
I can't find anything US that looks like this, any ideas folks?

See any Colt marks on it? I found this possibility.

On second search I think this one is more likely.

It was just a lucky Google search, Joe. Must not be many of them in circulation though. Can't find many references.
