New to Milsurp

As is my habit with forums, I'm only doing a welcome post after posting to several other threads first.
My history with milsurp weapons goes back to an SMLE No. 5 Mk. 1 I bought out of a barrel in the basement of a local department store way back in my teens. It was $19.95, and I paid for it and walked out with it, which shows how long ago that was.
Never been too big on military surplus weapons....picked up a CMP Garand, a S&W 1917 .45 ACP revolver, and a M44 Mosin-Nagant, that's about it.
Reloading for the Garand was easy, since I already loaded .30-06 before I bought it. Never loaded anything for the others, until recently I put together some loads for the SMLE, which worked fine.

It's a bit slow in gun comments around here. The boat loads of new and different milsurps stopped arriving some years ago. Good to see someone post something on topic for the site header. And... I know... I'm guilty as sin in the not talking about milsurps myself.

Welcome aboard Rico

Watch that Mosin Nagant closely, they have a tendency to multiply on there own.

No reason to reload for the M44 with 7.62x54r as cheap as it is.

A bit later then the others, but welcome from the other side of the pond.
Miller is right, Mosin Nagants seem to multiply over night :D
I reload for all my Mosin Nagants.
7.62x54R is more expensive over here.
Besides that I like to reload.
It makes my hobby more interesting.

I do not only reload for my Mosin Nagants, but also for my Dutch Steyr Mannlicher M95 in cal. 6.5x53.5R.
To make my hobby complete I shoot BP rifles and one pistol both breech and muzzle loading.

Again......welcome and I hope you like this place as much as I do.

Met vriendelijke groet,

Martin :NET:
