Saw this 200 page Navy recognition book for sale on craigslist so I bought it. It is a 1950 classified book that the Navy
printed for use to recognize ships. No idea if every ship was issued one of these, although where else would you use it.
It was fun to go through as most of the ships were built for WWII and many US ships were in other countries Navy.
Surplus after the war was everywhere. I should have taken a photo of the biggest boys Iowa Class Battleships.
I put the HMS Vanguard in there for you, Duncan. The countries that had "Minor Navies" are listed in the back of the book,
and it is obvious why, mostly coastal patrol boats. Sweden is listed as a minor Navy but photos not in that section,
it's listed in the big boys section in the front. Government workers. ......
