Obviously the White House isn't happy. De Santis is still somewhat of a Trump clone who wants to take Trump's place as the Republican candidate for President next year. It all remains to be seen how gun laws pan out in the not all that distant future. The lines are being drawn pretty tightly for both sides of the gun issue. Something has to happen that makes some sense eventually..... or not.April 3 (UPI) -- Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law on Monday that permits the carrying of concealed firearms without a permit.
The state Senate passed House Bill 543 by a 27-13 vote last week, opening the door for permitless concealed carry. DeSantis reportedly signed the bill shortly after 10 a.m. on Monday, before local press was notified that he had received it, The Florida Times-Union reports.

The White House won't be happy until the only people with guns are standing in a circle around the President.........
The state of Washington just keeps chipping away at our gun rights. A ban on selling "assault rifles" may happen
fairly soon, but luckily the courts keep overturning such bans. We'll see what happens......
It's already too late for gun laws to really have much of an effect, there are more guns than people in the US.
About 120 guns for every 100 people and it keeps rising, guns will always be in public hands, legal or not.
As they say...... If guns are outlawed..only outlaws will have guns. And lots of them.

Peace is that brief, quiet moment in history.......... when everybody stands around reloading.

Like you say, the government can't pass a law that could sop up all the guns in America even if the forces of ignorance could have their way. But you can bet something will happen...it will probably be something like Prohibition all over again and be just as bad in a different way.
