Not all facts are factual

Post by Aughnanure » Sun Jul 30, 2023 4:40 pm

Was just going through my papers and read my Discharge Certificate and realised how, on the face of it, it could be very misleading.
Under ‘Marks and Scars’ it says, “Circular gunshot wound lower angle of the left jaw.”
Now with this as evidence I could fell a tale of daring do and say how dangerous the Truce Period could be and that I’d fought North Korean infiltrators, killed them but almost lost my life doing so.
However my Enlistment Form lists the same scar; I was a ten year old when I was shot with a .22rf.

Pity, could have got a few free beers with that story😇
Self Defence is not only a Right, it is an Obligation.

You must have lived in a tougher neighborhood than me, when we played war in the woods, we just shot
each other with BB guns, not .22s. ....

Peace is that brief, quiet moment in history.......... when everybody stands around reloading.
