D-166 Bullets

FYI

Midway has Lapua D-166 Bullets in stock. (The bullet the M39 was designed to shoot.) They're incorrectly described in the paper catalogs as 30 caliber, .308 dia. They're correctly described in the online store database as 30 caliber, .310 dia.

I found a box of them at the local vendor. They are .310 after all and not .308 as described by Midway.

And do NOT use the data from Lapua tables!

Put 45...46grn of N140 behind that D166 for use in finn or russiam Mosins!

The test barrels of Lapua do have .308" groove, normal Mosins have .310" or more.

Tryes theyr max load, bad accuracy an black casings.

A mail to Lapua support cleared everything, they used .308 barrels.
