I was inside Barbie 3 when it was based here at the Aurora,IL, airport. It is a impressive aircraft.

Actually still have a button like that. I wore it on my hat as an SRSO when I managed a public access shooting range. Did get some looks from shooters that were strange.

Yep and every year or so they bring up an aircraft off the bottom of the lake and into Waukegan Harbor in Illinois.
There is one Wildcat at an airport near me that has been restored and is in flying condition.

Lost my Uncle Fritz on Bataan two days before the surrender. Official papers say he stayed on his gun until his squad could pull back. Another thing that has worked for me is KROIL. Apply this with a saturated swab for a couple of days, the gently scrape at the rust with a cartridge case with the neck flattened. When the case dulls just sharpen it with a file. Then work the area with #0000 brass wool or steel wool. Just be very gen...
