I'm sorry about the scale thing. They are bout 9-10 inches long. Not a clue if all from same type of round, I think not as bands width and depth are different. If you google WW i trench art letter openers there are some similar ones listed.

Trench Art

Trench Art letter openers made from artillery shell dfriving bands. The completed one has "France 1918" on one side of the blade and my Grandfathers name "Art Kilker" on the other.

Yeah, this was obviously a commercial product. I think my Uncle picked it up after the War when stationed in Germany in late '40s early 50's.

Yes, the way I figure it, a $129.99 Swede I sold in 1995 would be $270.00 at least just by inflation. Throw in rarity
and any other factors and double the money is not so far off.
