thanks again for the replies...it took me a while to get to the bottom of the problem (due to work) but last week on the range i put it alongside another FN Mauser and it turned out to be the front sight post - worn down! Short of about 2mm. I wish i could zero at 50m to 100m but the shortest range ...

Thanks for the replys...i was wondering what was the best way to sort it out?.....would i be better getting a longer foresight? Or waiting to see what type of slide i have?...still a bit mystified..hehehe

Hi all,
posted on the Mauser thread earlier and no doubt will also post on the Swiss thread soon. I've enjoyed what i've read so far!
I currently shoot the k31 and the k98(7.62) and own a 10/22. Normally shoot twice a month on military ranges here in the UK.

Columbian Mauser sight problem
Hi all, this is my first post so don't be too harsh! hehehe belong to a shooting club in the North West of the UK. Anyways....bought a Columbian K98 (7.62) and fired it for the first time a few weeks back.....to hit the target @300m i had the sight set @ 100m and i was aiming at the mantlet of the b...
