Re: Guns I have fallen into
Just to put an end to this story. I didn't do much to the finish on the .22. I did replace a spring and a metal pin that locked the two piece barrel catch in place...which was a bitch of a job. The shotgun, the rifle , and the New Vaquero pistol were all sold by the Styx River rifle range for me. Ad...

Christmas
For a lot of years there would be a fairly big to do about Christmas dinner in my life. Lots of family gathering one place or the other. At my house for a number of years, in even recent times after my children were grown and on their own and didn't have to come...but did, there was a fried turkey a...

Re: Gun show December 2025
I don't know what was actually selling. I saw a number of people filling out paper at the apparently professional dealer tables. Someone that's an individual selling their collection wouldn't have to fill out the gun check papers if selling to state residents above certain age classifications based ...

Gun show December 2025
Went to one today. Very few C&R guns. Mostly pistols and black rifles and sporting arms. Some surprises. Rack of C&R's, as will add photo, all had bigger prices than I was expecting. Top rifle in the photo is a Nagant with a $750 price tag, then a Nagant carbine for $549 and under it one the...

Re: Canon EOS 630
In 1989 this is what they sold for. Off shore maybe from this advertiser for mail order shoppers and probably without the US warranty if it was. The camera was one price the lens or lenses were extra. In today's money a camera with a 50mm normal lens would be the equal to something over $1000.

Canon EOS 630
The EOS 600 series came out in the late 80's. 650 in 1987 followed quickly by the 620 and lastly by the 630. The 630 had the fastest auto focus of the three although slacking off a bit to a shutter speed of a still overkill 2000th of a second. They were at the beginning of cameras with intelligence ...

Sleeve rank patches
In the US Army of half a century ago enlisted men of the lower ranks got to be Specialists eventually if they didn't get any article 15's or piss anybody above them off. At the same time, there was a real distinction between NCO's and privates that was a real class distinction. However, also at the ...
