I did the google search and I think that it is the cavalry carbine. I don't think the muzzle has been cut back. If so, it was done at the arsenal. Well, I went to the local candy store today looking for a 9 mm pistol and I found a 1909 Argentine in really nice condition, with matching number on the bolt, action, stock, and trigger guard. The wood has quite a few dents, but nothing bad. The barrel looks to be about 23.5 from muzzle to the front...

Okay, I checked the receiver and there "may" be an R up under the front ring. There is an "E" and a flaming pisspot on the safety and an "E" on the sear and the trigger. The R is not in any way as clear as any of the Es, but it is the only thing resembling a letter in t...

M1917 Action Info Needed
I have a Model 1917 Enfield action that has had the ears milled off. I cannot find a serial number on the action anywhere. How can I tell where the action was made and when?
