Re: My latest

The stock and sling were added by me. The stock that came on it was a scant stock that didn't fit for crap and was sanded to within an inch of it's life. The sling is just a cheap reproduction.

Of all my fire arms this has to be near the top for fun.

And probably the best cost per enjoyment factor. Winchester 69a with a Redfield 75 receiver sight, Merit adjustable eye piece and Lyman 17 front globe sight. http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q218/Rumpelhardt/My%20Guns/Winchester%20Model%2069A/00c51b4b-eb2f-47ce-a490-dbec08cd7f73.jpg http://i137.ph...

Finaly a military surplus rifle other than an Enfield.

103 years old and still beautiful. http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q218/Rumpelhardt/My%20Guns/M96%20Swedish%20Mauser/eb5d3df5-bb8d-4732-943d-730549d88ede.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q218/Rumpelhardt/My%20Guns/M96%20Swedish%20Mauser/a49dfc82-6e55-4c7a-94db-1de79d6c2643.jpg http://i137.p...

UnBubbaed 1941 Long Branch

Just some pictures of it in a somewhat finished state. I still need to get it to a range to find out just how finished it is. http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q218/Rumpelhardt/102_6185-1.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q218/Rumpelhardt/102_6186-1.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q218/...

Re: I finaly got around to getting another Enfield

joseyclosey it seems that it is hard to date the BSA Commercial rifles because of the way BSA handled the serial numbers on them. Near as anyone can get is probably mid to late 20s.

Re: I finlay got around to getting another Enfield

Best I can find out it was bought new by a Canadian who shot it in competition some time between the wars. I gather he moved here to Maine at some point where the rifle was sold at an estate auction after his death.
