Re: I'm Still Here

Well, I am still here but I am now 85. Still fool with my rifles, giving some away and selling some. Have a grandson who is very interested in old and new guns. I'm keeping him interested by giving him a rifle or two now and then. Friend of mine has a Japanese T38 Sniper and wanted a copy made. He f...

Siamese Army Carbine

After the war the Siamese liked the M1 Carbine so well and without money to purchase them the mofified the T38 long rifles into look alike M1Carbines ro thier own use. The Army and the Police both used them. This is an Army rendition. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v283/riceone/RIMG0451_zpstht8id...

Brass Replicas

Below is a replica of an original brass muzzle cover for a Japanese Rifle. I have forgotten the type rifle it was for. Not a T99 or T38 but an older one. One the left is the original that I copied making the one on the right

Re: I'm Still Here

I have not been very active on any board in several year, but I do slip in every once in awhile to just keep in touch. I sold a swadge die to a guy several years back and he had not used it till now and found it would not screw in his press so he sent it back and I re-cut the threads and sent it bac...

I'm Still Here

Its been awhile since have posted but I'm still up and around at 80. Still work in my shop making parts and am now putting together a 22/250 using a T99 action and a 7x57 using a T38 action. My collecting has sort of stopped but I still have all I ever had and enjoy looking at them. Its getting diff...

Re: A pair of 44s

Peter, I use to make a swadge die to run a 308 0r 7.62x51 case through it and then it would size in a regular 6.5 Japanese sizing die. Would that be of any help to you. If so I could make you one and send. I was making and selling them before Graf and others started making the 6.5 cases. Now not muc...

Re: Last ditch Type 99 Arisaka

Very nice 34th series. Everything look like original. Metal should have been blue. Does it look like it has been buffed or does it look like it came that way? Beautiful stock. riceone
