Re: Webley & Enfield revolvers with accessories (image heavy)

That's a very nice Enfield, Brad. Out of curiosity, does it have the hammer block safety? Here are a few videos I took. The first shows the operation of the Prideaux device and .22 kit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kELOfUjBs8 These show firing the Mark VI and Enfield No2 MkI**: http://www.youtube...

Re: Webley & Enfield revolvers with accessories (image heavy)

Drake, Your thread had been very educational for a person with just a single No.2 Mk,I*. The Prideaux Loader was interesting in that I felt there likely was some form of speed loader, but never came across one. If interested here's a couple of items concerning my revolver: It's a 1942 dated Mk.I* T...

Re: Webley & Enfield revolvers with accessories (image heavy)

Question: Were there seperate models for the military and for police? I got a reproduced manual of the Webley MK IV, and some details shown in it are different from my revolver. While my gun and those in the manual are all Webley MK IVs, there are some small differences. I will have to dig the manu...

Re: Webley & Enfield revolvers with accessories (image heavy)

There is just something about these old top-breaks that fascinates me. Utilitarian and elegant at the same time.

By the way, WWI buffs may take notice of the dates on the .455 ammo wrappers..

Re: Webley & Enfield Revolvers (image intensive)

Here is a Webley & Scott .22 Rimfire Long adapter. I'm not sure of the proper terminology, but devices like this for the Martini rifles were called 'aiming tubes'. [pic]http://hooverae.com/upload/files/190509/2639925.jpeg[/pic] The Webley & Scott winged bullet is stamped on the left side of ...
