Knowing an Original M1C is probably going to be out of my grasp I picked this one up from a buddy on line.
It's a pretty faithful reproduction, correct Mfg, correct S/N range,with the Vietnam era T-37 flash arrestor, and I have a Lyman Alaskan scope of drop on it since the Hi-Lux are known not to be very robust.

Interesting flash suppressor. I wonder if they worked as well to break the wire on
cases of C-Rations as the M-16 did?? ....

LOL, it probably did. The T37 was deigned to replace the conical flash suppressor that was used on the M1C & M1D. The conical suppressors mounted to the barrels using the bayonet lug and didn't fit very snugly leading to the belief that the effect barrel harmonics and decreased accuracy.
