M1C build

Post by Miller Tyme » Fri Nov 08, 2019 7:53 pm

Knowing an Original M1C is probably going to be out of my grasp I picked this one up from a buddy on line.
It's a pretty faithful reproduction, correct Mfg, correct S/N range, with the Vietnam era T-37 flash arrestor, and I have a Lyman Alaskan scope of drop on it since the Hi-Lux are known not to be very robust.

Interesting flash suppressor. I wonder if they worked as well to break the wire on
cases of C-Rations as the M-16 did?? ....

:USA:

Peace is that brief, quiet moment in history.......... when everybody stands around reloading.

LOL, it probably did. The T37 was deigned to replace the conical flash suppressor that was used on the M1C & M1D. The conical suppressors mounted to the barrels using the bayonet lug and didn't fit very snugly leading to the belief that the effect barrel harmonics and decreased accuracy.
