I've had this Long Branch No4 for some time. It is a '42 with no FTR marks.....English export stamp. A real 'war dog'. The bore is pitted from breech to muzzle with a fair amount of frost the last couple of inches at the muzzle. I've spent a fair amount of time this winter scrubbing the sweet b-jesus out of this thing. Sweets 7.62 removed copper for a couple of weeks. Wore out three bronze brushes using Hoppe's No9.....each time turning the patches black. Of course the pitts are still there.....but this crazy thing is a good shooter! It has the war-time expedient 300-600 flip sight.....which limits it's abilities as far as I'm concerned (never have gotten one to be a tack driver)....but it does well with H380 and 180gr Rem PSPCL RN bullets at 100 yards. A good case for salvaging what appears to be a wall-hanger.
